The Way We Work - Brighton Home Brewers portraits
I had a great day last month shooting my regular project, The Way We Work for Viva Brighton magazine.
I got to meet and take the portrait of five of Brighton & Hove's home brewers. I even got to take some of their delicious beers home with me.

Brighton Festival CEO portrait
Seeing as it's currently the Brighton Festival on at the moment I thought I'd share a portrait of the Brighton Dome and Festival CEO Andrew Comben that I took recently.
This is another of my portraits which could come under the subheading 'portraits taken in corridors outside of toilets". For some reason I always end up in unusual places taking my shots.
Portraits of Brighton Fitness Professionals
Brighton fitness professionals portraits
So how are your new years fitness resolutions coming along?
Just as a reminder I thought i'd show you a series of portraits of some of Brighton's Fitness Professionals / Trainers / Coaches etc. that I took a while ago.
The idea behind these images was to show the person and people in their environment. I always like to impose some rules upon myself when i'm shooting as for some reason I find that it helps with my creativity.
So for this shoot I decided to take my widest lens and 1. to shoot as wide as possible so as to create an interesting distortion and dimension to the image. 2. I also wanted to try to capture a graphic and dynamic shape with the people to give the images more energy and lastly 3. I thought I'd shoot into the light to make the images feel bright and vibrant.
I don't know why I impose rules, it's just part of my creative process.
Nighttime Photography for Visit Brighton
Photography of Brighton at night
This is the final blog post of the travel photography commissioned by Visit Brighton the tourists board of Brighton & Hove Council.
The idea was to get a library of professional stock photography which could be used to promote the creative and vibrant city that is Brighton & Hove.
It was a dream job for me as I get to shoot the city that I love.
