One of the things i’m noticing that i’m being asked for a lot more now, is to create Instagram content for businesses and companies.
It’s been happening a lot more. When I’m at a commercial company taking head shots / portraits / profile shots etc. or shooting interiors for the business, i’m being asked to use my creative professional photographic eye to shoot other things which they see every day and tend to ignore, but to an outsider would be of interest. It’s the small details, the little things, the tools of the trade etc. These are the kind of things which work really well as content for Instagram.
This particular shoot was for the brilliant South Coast Bikes based in Brighton, Sussex, who just service and fix bikes. So its a business which being a keen cyclist was a joy to shoot, along with portraits of the staff and general shots of the business for the website.
I always try to tell a story and capture the essence of the business in the Instagram shots and I think you can get a pretty good idea of what they are about from just looking at the shots above.
Capturing content for Instagram is really fun as you get a really great understanding of what the business is about and it also great fun looking for the shots.
