autobiography photography
A couple of portraits from a shoot I did with author Will Howliston for his book covers.
Will write science fiction books and I just loved the little nod to Douglas Adams and Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy.
I'm very excited to show you the book cover which I recently did the photography for.
It's a political autobiography of Baroness Joyce Gould who has lead an amazing life (look here up on Wikipedia) and was a total joy to photography and take her portrait.
The book is being published this month by Bite Back Publishing and can be purchased from Amazon and all good book shops.

One of my goals is to do more photography for book covers. I've already done a couple, however seeing as I love portrait photography it's one area of my business which i'd love to expand.
I really enjoy looking at the autobiography book covers in the book shops and seeing the great portraits which entice you to read the book. Thats what i'd love to be taking more of.
So if you're reading this and you can help, it's a big fat plea from me......Please help me do more.
Anyway, this lovely lady is Baroness Gould of the House of Lords. She's a Labour Party peer and has stood for some amazing causes over the years, mainly to do with discrimination. I spent a very memorable morning with Joyce, in her home chatting about this and that and learning so much from her.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the book when it comes out in January I think. This was my favourite image from the shoot, but I have no idea which one they will use.
