You and your DSLR – Basic Photography

Get to grips with your new DSLR camera. We look at taking your camera off automatic and shooting with total control, to increase your creativity. Learn the fundamentals of photography: shutter speed, aperture & ISO and how you can use these to improve your images. As well as looking at classic photography techniques like composition, using colour, looking at light and many more useful tips & tricks. This workshop is ideal for the starter photographer, who is looking to take their photography to the next level.

Toy Cameras

Shooting with a Toy camera is FUN FUN FUN. This workshop focuses on the Holga & Diana Cameras these are the basic medium format film cameras, which are classed as Toy Cameras. Learn all the best ways to use these quirky cameras to get the most out of them. We look at how they work, their particular quirks and what makes them unique. By shooting with toy cameras and being constrained by what these cameras can do, you can actually become more creative with your photography. This is a very hands on fun workshop designed to get you shooting with film and Toy Cameras.

iPhone

The iPhone is now the most popular camera on Flickr. It is so easy now to shoot an image, edit it and upload it right from the palm of your hand. On this workshop, we look at how to get the best results from your iPhone, using proven techniques to improve the images that you take with your phone. As well as, useful apps to use for taking your shots, editing them and uploading your finished photos to various sites. There is also a practical photo walk, so you can put your new techniques into practice.

Wedding photography

Mainly run as specialist 1-2-1 training or the flash photography workshops adapted for wedding photographers and run though Photography Farm. Adam is available for many aspects of wedding photography training including posing techniques, how to get the most out of your subjects, business advice and post-production methods.

Basic Studio Lighting

Looking at what you need to creative perfectly lit, professional looking images with a basic studio kit. We look at the equipment and how to get to grips with it, getting a correct exposure with ease, traditional lighting set ups and how to adapted them to your needs. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking for an introduction to studio lighting.

On Camera flash

This workshop is designed to let you get to grips with your flash and make the most of this powerful light source. We focus on the creative possibilities of flash photography and what can be achieved though simple techniques, that once learnt will improve your flash photography dramatically. If you have ever struggled with flash photography, then this workshop is for you.

Off-Camera flash photography

Off camera flash (or Strobist) has become very popular in the last few years with photographers able to achieve very high-end professional looking images, with just the basic photography equipment. This workshop looks at the equipment you need to achieve these results, how to get the correct exposure every time and the best ways to work quickly and creatively in any environment. As well as giving you all the fundamentals in how to use off-camera flash and get the most out of the kit you may already have.
